In one of my door I have beautiful panes with sandblasted patterns. Unfortunately, they are very dirty. Is it possible to clean them up?
Unfortunately, sandblasted glass tends to get dirty, especially when it is touched with greasy hands. In order to clean it, you have to squirt the whole surface with glass cleaner spray, spread it and then wipe it with soft and dry wiper. If it doesn’t help, you can use methylated spirit. The most important thing is not to rub the glass in one place, but clean the whole surface. We suggest you to ask for a special protecting coating which prevents glass from greasiness the next time you buy glass door.
Hello. I need a glass partition to install it in my kitchen between cupboards. The company where I ordered the glass, refused to provide me the untempered one. In my kitchen I have gas stove and in the glass there should be four openings for sockets. Was that company right or it wanted to trick me?
That company was absolutely right and they provided you very honest answer. There is high probability that untempered glass installed next to the gas stove will simply break while using it. In addition, openings in the glass make it even weaker, so the risk of breaking the glass is higher. We have many clients who ask us to replace broken glass. Companies which sold them that glass quite cheap don’t provide any warranty and they leave clients with the problem. You have to remember that removing broken glass from the wall is a big problem which involves high costs and the risk of damaging neighbouring glasses. In this case it’s not worth to save money and order the glass where it is the cheapest.
I would like to order a shower cubical, but my friends told me they had ‘raised hinges’ in their cubicals. Can you tell me what’s going on with those ‘raised hinges’, please?
